Gentle but Strong

Water Lilies are secretive and sensitive. Appearing dainty, they are really quite strong. Yet unless one has taken the time to investigate beneath the surface, they will only see a lovely pad and perhaps a flower, if they catch it at the right time.

People are like Lilies, often we see the surface and one's outer beauty, but we don't get to know the depths of a person because we are too busy admiring just what catches our eye.

Often, like the Lilies, what we admire outwardly has been built through time and has deep roots. Sitting by the still waters of the lilies gives one the ability to reflect on the hidden gems of life. Certainly Lilies and their formation mirror that of many human beings!
